Ephesians Ephesians 6 New Testament

Putting on the Whole Armor of God Which is Christ

Finally,Ā be strong in the Lord and inĀ the strength of his might.Ā Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand againstĀ the schemes of the devil.Ā ForĀ we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but againstĀ the rulers, against the authorities, againstĀ the cosmic powers overĀ this present darkness, againstĀ the spiritual forces of evilĀ in the heavenly places.Ā ThereforeĀ take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand inĀ the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.Stand therefore,Ā having fastened on the belt of truth, andĀ having put on the breastplate of righteousness,Ā and,Ā as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.Ā In all circumstances take upĀ the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish allĀ the flaming darts ofĀ the evil one;Ā and takeĀ the helmet of salvation, andĀ the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,Ā prayingĀ at all timesĀ in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that endĀ keep alert with all perseverance, makingĀ supplication for all the saints,Ā andĀ also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouthĀ boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel,Ā for which IĀ am an ambassadorĀ in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak. ~Ephesians 6:10-20
