A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.<\/p>\n

63:1 O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you;
\nmy soul thirsts for you;
\nmy flesh faints for you,
\nas in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
\n2 So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary,
\nbeholding your power and glory.
\n3 Because your steadfast love is better than life,
\nmy lips will praise you.
\n4 So I will bless you as long as I live;
\nin your name I will lift up my hands.<\/p>\n

5 My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food,
\nand my mouth will praise you with joyful lips,
\n6 when I remember you upon my bed,
\nand meditate on you in the watches of the night;
\n7 for you have been my help,
\nand in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy.
\n8 My soul clings to you;
\nyour right hand upholds me.<\/p>\n

9 But those who seek to destroy my life
\nshall go down into the depths of the earth;
\n10 they shall be given over to the power of the sword;
\nthey shall be a portion for jackals.
\n11 But the king shall rejoice in God;
\nall who swear by him shall exult,
\nfor the mouths of liars will be stopped.<\/p>\n
