{"id":1711,"date":"2012-11-05T07:00:00","date_gmt":"2012-11-05T12:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.totellyouthetruth.net\/?p=1711"},"modified":"2012-11-05T07:00:00","modified_gmt":"2012-11-05T12:00:00","slug":"was-the-old-testament-premillennial","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.davecruver.com\/?p=1711","title":{"rendered":"Was the Old Testament Premillennial?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I think it is a safe thing to say that <em>all<\/em> (as in <strong>all<\/strong>) theologians agree the Old Testament authors were premillennial in their understanding of Eschatology.<\/p>\n<p>However, some theologians would deduce (wrongly) we need to be premillennial, as well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Concession<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since the OT authors wrote their prophecies <em>before<\/em> Christ&#8217;s first Advent, they were premillennial.<\/p>\n<p>But, when Christ came, the millennium began at His resurrection.<\/p>\n<p>So, the NT authors have inherently become post-millennial but not necessarily PostMillennial.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I think it is a safe thing to say that all (as in all) theologians agree the Old Testament authors were premillennial in their understanding of Eschatology.
